It might be worth peeking out the window tonight at what many are calling a 'supermoon.'

A super "perigee moon" will rise in the east at sunset and be about 15 percent larger than usual, according to a NASA Science News article. It will be closer to the Earth than it's been in 18 years.

RIP. Captain Beefheart.

Captian Beefheart. Sorry to hear of the death of one of my all-time favourite rock musicians. I saw him at Canterbury University on his Clear Spot tour. Someone at the front stage shouted "Beefheart you're crap" and quick as a flash he replied "Son, you'd better shake my hand" and meek as a lamb the guy did. He'll probably remember that.
